Well , this error was ruining my day , i tried everything even that tool called Fiddler , but nothing helped..
Solution: I Removed all web parts I've added recently from central administration > farm solution , then IIS RESET , then i checked , it worked fine with me , then i add all these webparts i added again , and still working fine :)
Reason: while deploying one of the web parts , something went wrong and a feature wasnt installed properly

download fiddler and try to open wf or create wf from designer. After you get error message look in fiddler message. You will find a name of wp that might have missing solution or feature. Try to deactivate the feature, or remove the feature. or install the solution with the feature and remove it if not needed. It will resolve the issue.

This error can be misleading. I see a lot of responses around the net with this as the solution but in my case this didn't resolve anything. In fact I have yet to get to the bottom of this but I can tell you that a server reboot got me going again.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking there is a universal issue that caused everything to stop working. Also another indication of the symtoms I had were people weren't able to get to linked files that were uploaded and no one could upload any files.
Just an FYI for anyone who doesn't find this as the resolution.
